Homeless
While my family's new house is finishing construction, with a tentative possession date of August 9th, we have allowed our lease to expire on our rented home. So for the next month or so we will be homeless. My wife and I decided that now is the perfect time to do a Canada visit, since it's been a while since we visited, and will be broke for the foreseeable future after our monthly expenses increase. I'm writing this from my in-laws' dining room table, where I'll be working remotely for the next few weeks.
Our road trip up took 5 days, since we wanted to take it slow and see some things along our way. We did Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC, Huntington, WV, Chicago, IL, up through WI to Minneapolis, MN, and finally up to Winnipeg. The highlight of my trip was Hocking Hills State Park, OH. We stopped for a hike and checked out Cedar Falls. It was so beautiful. The hike was fun, the trails were perfect, and we were not bothered by bugs. Such a great place to hike. I definitely would like to go back and see some of the other trails in the park.
I'm excited to visit family in Canada, and also excited to get back to FL into our new home.
