Mooncast wireless power

Crazy idea popped into my head last night.
I was reading a newsletter from this company called Powercast. Cool stuff. Imagine a wireless charger for your phone, except the phone doesn't have to touch the charger. It can be delivered from farther away.
Anyways, my insane idea was that there could be some insane nuclear power plant on the moon, and transform the 'Earthward side' (is that a word?) into a giant wireless power transmitter. Then energy harvesting devices could be placed around the surface of the Earth, and at night they would charge up. It would be like the electrical grid recharges at night. Kinda like how humans recharge at night! It could also power satellites orbiting the moon and Earth.
You heard it here first.
